Terms of service

Last updated: 21 July 2026

These terms govern your use of EnglishJobsSweden. By confirming your email address and using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree to them, unsubscribe or delete your account — both take one click and cost nothing.

1. Who we are

EnglishJobsSweden is operated by [PLACEHOLDER — owner’s legal name], at [PLACEHOLDER — registered address]. Full details are on the contact page. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean that operator, and “you” means the person using the service.

2. What the service is

We collect job advertisements that employers have already published in public — Arbetsförmedlingen’s Platsbanken and employers’ own career pages and applicant-tracking systems — read them automatically, compare them against the profile you gave us, and send you a small number of leads by email, typically twice a week, with a short explanation of why each one might fit and an optional draft message you could send to the hiring team.

That is the whole product. Sometimes the honest answer is that nothing was good enough, and in that case we say so instead of padding the list.

3. What the service is not

This part matters more than the rest, so it is plain:

  • We are not an employer. Nothing here creates an employment relationship, of any kind, between you and us. We do not offer you work.
  • We are not a recruiter, staffing agency or employment agency. We are not engaged by the employers whose ads we show you, we are not paid by them, we do not represent them, and we do not represent you to them.
  • We do not apply on your behalf. We never contact an employer for you, never forward your profile or CV to anyone, and never give an employer your details. If you want the job, you apply for it yourself.
  • We do not give immigration, legal, tax or career advice. Our note about whether an ad looks like it involves visa sponsorship is a reading of the advertisement text, not advice about your right to work in Sweden. For that, ask Migrationsverket or a qualified adviser.

4. Accuracy — what we do and do not guarantee

The job data comes from third parties and the analysis of it is automated, including by large language models. Both can be wrong. We make no guarantee that any lead we send you is accurate, current, complete, or still open.

  • An advertisement may have been filled, withdrawn or edited since we read it.
  • Our assessments — whether the role is English-friendly, the seniority level, the required skills, whether the employer sponsors work permits — are automated estimates derived from the wording of the ad. They are frequently right and sometimes wrong.
  • Salary figures are indicative benchmarks, generally derived from public statistics rather than from the employer. They are not an offer, a range the employer has confirmed, or a prediction of what you will be paid.
  • The draft outreach message is a suggestion written by a machine. Read it before you send it. Once you send it, what it says is your responsibility.

Always verify the details with the employer before you act on anything we send you. We are not liable for a decision you made on the strength of an automated summary.

We also do not guarantee any outcome. Using EnglishJobsSweden does not entitle you to a reply, an interview, an offer, a work permit, or a job, and we make no promise about how many leads you will get in any given period — including none, in a slow week.

5. Your account and how you may use it

  • You need a working email address that belongs to you. Do not sign up someone else.
  • One account per person. Keep your profile honest — an inaccurate profile mainly produces bad leads for you.
  • Anyone with access to your mailbox can access your account, because sign-in is by emailed link. Look after your mailbox.
  • Do not scrape, resell, redistribute or republish the leads or the data behind them; do not access the service by automated means; do not attempt to break, overload or circumvent the rate limits or security of the service.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.

The content we send you — the selection, the explanations, the drafts — is for your own personal job search. The underlying advertisements belong to the employers who published them.

6. Price

The service is free of charge today. We do not collect payment details and there is nothing to cancel or refund.

We may introduce a paid plan later. If we do, we will tell you by email before it applies to you, and using the service on a paid basis will always require a fresh, explicit choice by you — a free account will never silently start being charged. [PLACEHOLDER — reconcile with the pricing shown on the landing page (149 kr / month) before launch — the two must not disagree]

7. Availability and changes

We run this on a small budget and provide it on a best-effort basis, with no uptime commitment. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service, including the sending schedule and the way matching works. If we shut the service down entirely, we will tell registered users by email in advance and delete their data.

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its date at the top; material changes will be announced by email before they take effect. If you do not accept a change, stop using the service and delete your account.

8. Ending it

You can leave at any time, without giving a reason: unsubscribe from the link in any email, or delete your account and all of your data from your manage page. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

We may suspend or delete an account that breaks section 5, that is being used to abuse the service, or whose email address is persistently bouncing or reporting our mail as spam. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first.

9. Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost earnings or lost opportunity, for a job you did not get, for an application you sent to a role that turned out to be filled, or for anything arising from the content or conduct of a third-party employer.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your mandatory rights under Swedish and EU consumer law are not affected by anything in this document.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Swedish law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts there.

If something goes wrong, please email us first — most things are solved that way. If we cannot agree, a consumer in Sweden may refer the matter to Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN, Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, arn.se), and consumers in the EU may use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform. Otherwise, the dispute goes to the Swedish courts, with [PLACEHOLDER — court of first instance, e.g. Stockholms tingsrätt] as the court of first instance.
